Corporate Groups

Poplar Creek Prairie Stewards welcomes corporate teams interested in hands-on environmental restoration and meaningful community engagement.

Volunteering as a corporate group is a powerful way to build teamwork while making a tangible impact through local conservation. Participants work together on supervised habitat restoration activities such as seed collection, invasive species removal, brush clearing, and prairie or woodland management — all while learning about native ecosystems and the importance of stewardship.

Corporate volunteer days provide:

  • Opportunities to learn about local ecology
  • A shared experience that extends beyond the office

Planning Your Visit

If you are bringing a group, please contact us in advance so we can approve your attendance and  properly prepare.

In your message, please include:

  • The workday date you would like to attend.  We can arrange weekday workdays for groups of 10 or more.
  • The approximate number of volunteers in your group
  • The age range of participants ( older children/teens, adults, or mixed ages are welcome; our minimum volunteer age is 13)
  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • A phone number where you can be reached
  • How you heard about us
  • Your company’s name and your position.

This information allows us to plan for enough work leaders, tools, safety equipment, and refreshments for your group.

What to Expect

  • All tools, safety equipment, and training are provided
  • Experienced leaders  supervise all activities
  • Activities vary seasonally and are adapted to group size, see our Workday Videos for examples

No prior experience is necessary — all experience levels are welcome. 

Preparing Your Group

Please ensure your group:

  • Arrives on time
  • Plans to stay for the full workday
  • Brings water
  • Is dressed appropriately for outdoor restoration work with closed-toed shoes, long pants and long sleeves

For safety reasons, volunteers who are not properly dressed may be turned away. All participants should review the What to Wear guidelines in advance.
