From spring through fall, Poplar Creek Prairie Stewards host guided walks that invite the community to experience the prairie and woodlands as they change with the seasons. Each walk highlights what is blooming, migrating, or emerging at that time of year — from spring wildflowers and pollinators to summer prairie grasses and autumn seedheads.
Led by knowledgeable native plant specialists and experienced stewards, these walks provide a relaxed, educational way to learn how to identify native species and better understand local restoration work. Participants gain insight into prairie and woodland ecology, seasonal changes, and the stewardship efforts that help maintain these landscapes.
Guided walks are scheduled periodically as weather and steward availability allow.
Request to be notified of upcoming walks.
